My husband and I are officially launching our new business, Big Hat Karaoke. It's been a lot of work to get here, but I'm proud of everything we've accomplished. I say "we" but in reality, I've only been here for moral support so far. My husband, Jeff (or KJ Zazzy Jeff, as we may start to know him) has put in much time, energy, effort and money getting this thing off the ground. He logged MANY hours looking for the right music, resulting in a collection of almost 7,000 songs. He researched and purchased the equipment needed to host a kick butt show. And he has been working diligently on setting up webpages and Facebook pages, ordering business cards, and putting up fliers to start generating business.
Now it's time for me to start playing my part. I'm still not entirely sure where I will fit into the actual karaoke program, as I'm too shy to use the mic other than to sing. I won't be the personality behind the show; that's my husband all the way. But I figure I can at least keep people informed about what is going on, where we will be. I'm hoping to be able to use this blog to talk about the events we do and maybe even share some pictures of the fun being had.
Oh, by the way, in case you were wondering, my stage name is The Fresh Princess. Yup, that's us: KJ Zazzy Jeff and the Fresh Princess.
